Happy
Holidays To All!
The distinct
vibrations of a more positive attitude among humans, arises the
level of humanism. It always occurs during this month of December.
It sure feels nice. This marvelous spirit of rejuvenation, a sense
of a Renaissance, will stay for a while. This is a segment of Time
one wishes could be extended, stretched to an exaggerated length,
to overcome the aridity of the usual human habits. These habits
are all too anxious to reclaim their unfortunate supremacy as soon
as the month is over with.
As a musician,
I am elevated to a secret sanctuary where Georg Friedrich Haendel,
Nat King Cole, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Joseph Haydn, Brenda Lee
and
others have sojourned, through the music pieces they have offered
to the world. Their work is of a great inspiration.
I particularly appreciate this month of December in California (it's
certainly the case in the whole United States ) where people go
out of their way to decorate their houses with all kinds of beautiful
lightings, thus transforming whole neighborhoods in fairy tales
decorum. It adds to the special spirit felt.
Alternation
of great social gatherings and solitary experiences will punctuate
my days. This time also brings forth the passing away of a friend
of mine. While enjoying skiing in a skiing station in France two
years ago, Fabrice Durosier lost his way and fell off a deep cliff.
A song to his memory came to mind and I wrote the following (it
will feature in the album in production):

Les

I wish you
all, for the rest of the year the Renaissance spirit of this month
of December.
Peace!

An
Excellent Idea
It was strongly
suggested to me by a couple of friends to get "Turquoise"
published as a novel or novelette. I had thought of compiling all
the episodes at some point and have them published. But I found
the idea suggested to be more exciting and challenging. I will be
working in that direction. So, this 12th episode of "Turquoise"
is the last I will publish in my Newsletter.
I will quietly
continue to write the story until its completion. The past episodes
will be re-written, so as to include some details that I had left
aside in order to make things fit the format of the Newsletter.
When the
novel is ready, or is published, you will of course, be the first
to know about it. In the meantime, the past episodes written will
remain posted as usual.
I thank
you for your support. Your suggestions are welcome, as always.
Amicalement,
Jean-Pierre
Simons.
